FDT Roadshow 2006

Notable FDT Group member companies from the area of process and factory automation, such as ABB, Endress+Hauser, Ifak System, Invensys, Krohne, Metso Automation, Omron, Pepperl+Fuchs, Phoenix Contact, Softing, Turck, Tyco, Vega, Woodhead and Yokogawa are participating.

The goal of these one-day events on May 30th in Paris and on September 21st in Antwerp is to demonstrate, by means of lectures, the advantages and benefits to be obtained through the use of open, interoperable FDT technology in process automation, factory automation and hybrid applications.

Reports on experiences will document the many possibilities and savings potential of the technology for the user through simple handling, planning, commissioning, repair and maintenance.

In Paris, Jean-Nicolas Cordier will open the proceedings on behalf of Pepperl+Fuchs and in Antwerp this task will be undertaken by Thomas Westers, with a lecture on the current situation on the market and customer requirements.

The manufacturers are scheduled to display their products and solutions based on FDT/ DTM technology in the form of tabletop presentations. Adequate pauses during the events will provide ample opportunity for intensive discussions on the various topics.
