PROFIBUS PA Works with Pepperl+Fuchs
PROFIBUS logo
“PROFIBUS – Meet the Experts” is a half-day event organized by the PROFIBUS User Group. Lectures from manufacturers and end users inform you about the newest technology and actual experiences with installations utilizing PROFIBUS technology. Interact with the experts and other interested users in fieldbus installation technology and exchange ideas for your next project or existing installation.
Latest product developments will be on display for you to experience. The PROFIBUS Power Hub/ Segment Coupler SK3 links PROFIBUS PA segments into PROFIBUS DP. Main features are:
- Fully transparent connection between PA and DP: PA field devices seem to be connected to the DP network
- Redundancy of both, the gateway and the power supply
- The Advanced Diagnostic Module
This makes the SK3 easy to install and operate – it is practically configuration free. The SK3 brings power and communication to your High-Power Trunk with longest cable runs and highest number of field devices even in Ex-Zone 1. The energy-efficient design makes it the coolest and most reliable device available on the market today.
PROFIBUS Power Hub in action: Reliable and efficient supply of power to multiple field devices and transparent coupling of PROFIBUS DP and PA saved time during commissioning even at the trade show.
Gain experience from other end-users and meet the experts of Pepperl+Fuchs over breakfast and coffee, and pick up a full version of Segment Checker at no cost. Segment Checker enables you to plan your fieldbus network with just a few clicks.
PROFIBUS at trade shows
Ready to solve the puzzle of fieldbus installation. Andreas Hennecke, Product Marketing Manager and Thomas Klatt, Business Development Manager engage in interesting conversations with customers.
The SK3 supplies power to the High-Power Trunk; field devices were hooked up via FieldBarriers with intrinsically safe connections. Though this installation clearly did not require Zone 1 protection methods, the actual “hazardous area” could be found nearby at the evening events when the interactive sessions of end-users and equipment manufacturers explored methods for measuring and lowering levels of the tanks supplying to the beer taps.
